  2. To see about To attend to or to deal with something To consider something Examples: While you deal with your homework, I ll see about getting dinner ready. It s a difficult request, but we will see about whether we can manage it.

To see into To accompany someone in a place To look inside To see the real nature of something To predict the future Examples: During my first day at school, the teacher saw me into the classroom. I could see into the room through the keyhole. He might seem nice, but I can perfectly see into his real thoughts. The clairvoyant can see into your future for ten dollars.

  4. To see off To dismiss or to scare someone until they go away To say goodbye to someone who is leaving for a long time Examples: Our cat saw off the mouse that was running around. She s leaving for Canada tomorrow, and I m seeing her off at the airport.

  5. To see out To show someone the exit, accompanying them Examples: She saw her guests out, and then went to sleep.

  6. To see through To complete a task, without leaving it unfinished (see it through) To look through something To not get deceived by a lie or a disguise To be sufficient Examples: We have a mission, and we are here to see it through. I can see through the glass of that window. She can see right through your lies, you should just give up. Your salary is enough to see you through.

  7. To see to To take care of something To make sure (see to it that) Examples: He saw to all the preparations, and he made it just in time. See to it that you lock the door when you leave the shop.
