Unfair trade terms significantly impede Africa's development by creating conditions that prioritize cash crops over food production, leading to food shortages, economic dependence, and vulnerability to market fluctuations. This perpetuates a cycle of poverty, debt, and reliance on foreign aid, hindering the continent's progress and perpetuating social and health challenges.
