But a writer's arrangement of information has a major impact on readability. Placing the same information in different places of a text can make a world of difference. Creating an introductory framework that explains significance helps readers place details into a context. 2 2

  3. Significance: the WHY behind a communication "Significance" explains the need for a communication. Expressions of significance typically point to a change in situation: Discovery of new data. New ways of looking at existing data. Conflicting interpretations of data. 3 3
