accepted If you accepted something, you agreed to take it. The student gave the teacher an apple. She accepted it. When have you accepted someone s help?
express When you express yourself, you tell or show what you are feeling or thinking. You can express your ideas by writing a story. If you win a soccer game, how might you express yourself?
taught If you taught someone something, you told or showed them what to do. This teacher taught his class a new word. What have you taught someone else to do before?
grand Something that is grand is large, special, or important. A grand award is a top prize in a contest. What is grand about the Grand Canyon?
pretend Something that is pretend is imagined,or make-believe. The girl is not a real doctor. She is a pretend doctor. If you were to have a pretend pet, what would it be?
prize A prize is an award for winning a contest or doing something well. The best speller received first prize in the spelling bee. When have you won a prize?
wonder When you wonder about something, you think and try to guess or understand more about it. The children wonder when the caterpillar will become a butterfly. What is something you wonder about?
fluttering Something that is fluttering moves with small, quick movements. The butterfly is fluttering its wings as it flies. The wings move quickly. What different things could be fluttering across a field in the distance?
