  1. The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology was founded on December 26th, 1906 at a meeting organized in New York City by John Jacob Abel of the Johns Hopkins University. Biochemistry examines the rudimentary chemistry of life Molecular biology studies the complex interactions among biological molecules

  2. ASBMB publishes three prestigious research journals ASBMB's journals publish original research in the fields of microbiology, molecular genetics, RNA-related research, proteomics, genomics, transcription, peptides, cell signaling, lipidomics and systems biology. All articles undergo an extensive peer-review process.

  3. For more than 100 years, The Journal of Biological Chemistry has been an essential resource for the international community of biomedical researchers. Today, the Journal continues to be a standard-bearer for excellence in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Published weekly, over 31,000 annually Impact Factor: 4.573 Content published immediately upon acceptance and accessible to all as Papers in Press

  4. Molecular & Cellular Proteomics (MCP) showcases contributions that describe the structural and functional properties of proteins and their expression, particularly with respect to developmental time courses. Published online only on a monthly basis, over 3,300 pages a year Impact Factor: 6.564

  5. The Journal of Lipid Research (JLR) is the most-cited journal devoted to lipids in the world. For over 50 years, it has focused on the science of lipids in health and disease. Published monthly, over 2,400 pages annually Impact Factor: 4.421 Special 50th anniversary issue of JLR which features 75 reviews surveying the lipid field by the world s top researchers
