  2. Term Types For 2016-2017, there are six Academic Term types: -PK-7 Academic Term -PK-7 Academic Term (No Comps) -8-12 Academic Term -8-12 Academic Term (No Comps) -Trimester 1&2 -Trimester 3

  3. PK-7 Academic Term - Default for schools with grades six and above; Non-Comp courses may be adjusted to Non-Comp versions at the school s discretion - The standard PK-7 Academic Term includes the following terms and hierarchy:

PK-7 Academic Term - F2 is the product of A2 (GP Average) and C2 (Comp) - A2 is the product of G1 through G5 (Grading Periods 1-5) - G3 is the product of W3 (GP3 Course Work) and P3 (Pre-Comp) - To make P3 a separate grade, the Pre-Comp term is typically set to different dates than the actual Pre-Comp exam dates. Teachers must be aware of these dates when creating Pre-Comp assignments.

  5. PK-7 Academic Term (No Comp) -Default for schools with only PK-5 grade levels -The standard PK-7 No Comp includes the following terms and hierarchy: - F2 is the product of G1 through G5 (Grading Periods 1-5)

  7. 8-12 Academic Term - F1 is the product of A1 (Trimester Average) and C1 (Comp/Final Exam) - A1 is the product of T1 through T3 (Trimesters 1-3) - T2 is the product of W2 (Trimester 3 Course Work) and P2 (Pre-Comp) - To make P2 a separate grade, the Pre-Comp term is typically set to different dates than the actual Pre-Comp exam dates. Teachers must be aware of these dates when creating Pre-Comp assignments.

  8. 8-12 Academic Term (No Comp) - This is only available as an alternative which schools can choose to set for an upper school course that will not include a weighted Final Exam - The standard 8-12 No Comp includes the following terms and hierarchy: - F1 is the product of T1 through T3 (Trimesters 1-3)

  9. Trimester 1&2 Academic Term -The default for Capstone and College Counseling courses -The standard Trimester 1&2 includes the following terms and hierarchy: - F1 is the product of T1 and T2

  10. Trimester 3 Academic Term -This term is for students completing a research project in the third Trimester; if a senior will be on campus for Trimester 3 of a full-year course, he or she should be enrolled in an 8-12 AT section of that course -Trimester 3 includes only a Final Grade term
