DO NOW: Williams Case In your group, read the facts about the Williams case. After reading the case, read the statutes that follow. In your group, decide: Which statute applies? There might be more than one. Does it apply to both parents? Mom? Dad? What should the punishment be?
Physician Assisted Suicide/Euthanasia and the Case of Charlie Gard Charlie was born with an incurable mitochondrial disease. He could not move or breath on his own. Experts determined that he would never recover. Even if his condition slowed, he would never get better. Parents wanted to move him to America for an experimental treatment. Under the Children Act of 1989, the UK took medical power of attorney and determined Charlie could not be moved and needed to be taken off life support.

Nearly 3 in 4 stalking victims knew their offender in some capacity. More than half of stalking victims lost 5 or more days from work.
