In the Ghanaian context, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the well-being of employees. Legal statutes such as The Factories, Offices and Shops Act and the Workmen's Compensation Law outline guidelines for workplace safety. The Labour Law's Part XV provides the legal framework for OHS, emphasizing the prevention of adverse health effects due to working conditions. This includes measures to protect workers from risks, report accidents, and ensure mental and physical well-being. OHS initiatives aim to improve workplace conditions for all stakeholders.
