  2. What are ESSER Funds? The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) fund is a federal program, approved by the Department of Education as part of a larger COVID-19 aid plan. Keeping schools open Investing in infrastructure Emergency financial assistance for a variety of necessary projects to school districts in the country

  3. Allowable Uses of Funds Repairing and improving school facilities to reduce risk of virus transmission and exposure to environmental health hazards. Improving indoor air quality Summer learning programs Continuation of employment and hiring staff Expansion of facilities
