Prayers for certain Purposes Exercises of the chapter
Pg. no. 99 The people will gather in the masjid and pray 2 ra kah in congregation. The people will pray 2 rakah in congregation, the Imam will deliver 2 sermons and make a dua for rain. He should pray 2 rakah as Istikhara prayer, asking Allah for the better decision.
Pg. no. 101 The solar or lunar eclipse are the signs of Allah s creation and they do not occur due to any bad or good omen. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) taught us to seek refuge to Allah during this time, to pray & supplicate to Him.
Pg. no. 102 The solar eclipse prayer has 2 rukoo and 4 sujood in first rakah, the same 2 rukoo and 4 sujood in second rakah (altogether 4 rukoo & 8 sujood) that s why it is different from any other prayers. Nowadays it is easy to find out the dates for eclipses through meteorology, hence it is easy to perform the sunnah prayers on the prescribed ocassions.
Pg. no. 103 This is a confirm sunnah to pray at the time of solar eclipse, it used to be announced at the time of the Prophet (pbuh) to gather in the masjid for solar eclipse prayer. We learnt from the sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) to remember Allah at the time of eclipse and pay sadqa and charity.
Pg. no. 104 A consultation in a certain matter would be done from the well wishers, family and friends, this is also a sunnah. The istikhara prayer would be done for seeking guidance and entrusting Allah for choosing the best for us. An advisor should be a well wisher, trust worthy and an honest person who can guide us for the best possible way. We can consult the AWQAF centers and sharia courts in UAE while having any doubt regarding any jurisprudential rule .
Pg. no. 105 We should not pray any sunnah or volunteer prayer after Fajr until the sun rises completely. Allah will guide him, and he will be blessed with the best. Istikhara prayer should not be performed in this matter, pilgrimage should be done when possible. Istikhara prayer should not be performed in this matter, as we have to maintain good relationships with our kins always.
Pg. no. 108 The difference between Rain Prayer & Eid Prayer: Aspect Rain Prayer Eid Prayer Sunnah prayer and to be done in congregation. Sunnah prayer and to be done in congregation. Similarities 2 Raka ah and has no extra takbirat, 2 sermons and Imam will make dua while turning his outer garment around. 2 Rakah with extra takbirat and one sermon will be given after salat ul Eid. Pg. no. 108 We learnt from the sunnah of our Prophet to pray for rain at the time of drought, showing humbleness and humility in front of Allah and asking His mercy. We learnt from the sunnah that our Prophet prayed for rain, he turned his outer garment around and made dua to Allah for the rain.
Pg. no. 110 Solar eclipse is the sign of the creation of Allah, we need to remember Allah more by supplicating and by praying sunnah prayer. Istikhara prayer would make things easy for us as it is entrusting Allah and His plans for us. This would ensure the welfare and happiness of every Muslim. 1. Wrong as Istikhara supplication would be done with Istikhara prayer only. 2. Correct as solar eclipse prayer has 4 bowings in 2 rakahs. 3. Wrong as we have to do proper prayer with rukoo and sujood for rain.
