Nottingham City Council's UKSPF Cultural, Heritage, and Creative Capital Grant provides funding opportunities for organizations within the council's administrative area to support cultural, heritage, and creative arts events and programs. Nottingham City Council UKSPF Cultural, Heritage and Creative Capital Grant Available CAPITAL funding The minimum grant available is 10,000 The maximum grant available is 12,000 60,000
Nottingham City Council UKSPF Delivery Timescales The equipment, funded through the grant, must be purchased by the recipient by 30 September 2024 at the latest The equipment, purchased through the grant, must be used to support events / programmes of activities delivered between July 2024 and March 2025. Grant recipients are able to continue to use the equipment, purchased through the grant, beyond March 2025. Grant Recipients will need to report on outcomes achieved in December 2024 and March 2025
Eligibility Eligibility To be eligible to receive a grant your organisation must must: - Be located within, or deliver Cultural, Heritage or Creative Arts event(s) / programme of activities within the administrative area covered by Nottingham City Council - Be a Community Interest Company (CIC), Company Limited by Guarantee, Social Enterprise, Registered charity, Public body which delivers or hosts Cultural, Heritage or Creative Arts events / programmes or a constituted body, Not Not a private company or business - Have the relevant permissions (if required) from your landlord (this includes all Nottingham City Council Owed buildings) to deliver the events / programme of activities before your application is submitted
Outcomes The CHC Capital Grant aims to fund Organisations that deliver events / programmes of activities related to Culture, Heritage or Creative arts. As a result of the equipment purchased using the grant, Organisations must be able to deliver the following outcomes Outcomes Improved Engagement Numbers Improved Perception of Events
Job Created Outcome If, as a result of the equipment purchased using the grant, Organisations are able to create new, permanent jobs, these can also be claimed - New means it should not have existed with that Organisation before the Grant was awarded - Permanent means it should have an intended life expectancy of at least 12 months from the point at which it is created. - FTE is a measure of an employees scheduled hours in relation to an employers hours for a full time workweek
The Cultural, Heritage or Creative Arts events or programmes of activities should promote or celebrate: - The different cultures and people's heritage within Nottingham - The history or heritage of Nottingham - The Creative Arts For example: Celebration of identify e.g. LGBTQIA+ Celebration of Culture e.g. - Black History Month Promotion or celebration of Local History or Heritage Engagement in the Creative arts Examples of eligible use of grant funding and expenditure The grant is capital funding and can only be used to purchase equipment which would be used to support Cultural, Heritage or Creative arts Events or Programmes of activities; e.g. Equipment used for staging events e.g. Lighting or Sound Equipment Equipment essential for the delivery of events or programme activities. NB this equipment must be re-usable rather than for one-off use. Grants are not available for items or services which would be considered part of normal organisation operations e.g. ongoing maintenance or repair
Ineligible Project Costs There is no definitive guidance on which costs are ineligible. However, the following cannot be supported by grants Reimbursement of goods / services already purchased prior to the date of a grant offer letter Repayment of existing loans or debts Recurring revenue costs (including: salaries, pensions, stock, rent, utility charges, service charges subscriptions, insurance, tax, recruitment fees, website hosting etc.) Line rental and on-going maintenance costs associated with implementing a superfast broadband product Repairs and maintenance to existing equipment Accredited training or the development or implementation of accredited training materials Financial charges, such as bank charges and interest Enterprises in difficulty Enterprises subject to an outstanding order for the recovery of illegal State Aid Activities that may bring Nottingham City Council into disrepute Costs associated with gaining statutory permissions or consents Delivery charges This list is not exhaustive and specific items can be checked for eligibility by the grants officer from the Nottingham City Council s UKSPF team
The CHC Capital Grant will remain open for applications until Friday 12th July 2024 at 5pm Any applications received after 5pm on the 12th July will not be considered. If all of the available budget is not awarded, a second application window may be considered Timeframe The equipment must be purchased by the recipient by end of 30 September 2024 at the latest The equipment purchased through the grant must be used to support of events / activities delivered between July 2024 and March 2025. Grant recipients are able to continue to use the equipment purchased through the grant beyond March 2025. Grant Recipients must send all evidence relating to these purchases to NCC, in order to claim the grant, by 31st October 2024.
