  4. Family Dens Effective Jun. 1, 2023 Girls and Boys can share Dens (Family Dens) Includes Lions (K) to Webelos (4th) AOLs (5th) must be in separate boy and girl Dens All Dens can continue to share leaders Girl and boy AOLs can still do activities and events together

  5. Two Night Unit Camping Effective Sept. 1, 2023 Cub Scout Packs can camp as a unit for up to 2 nights It was recently clarified that Packs were limited to a single overnighter in the Guide to Safe Scouting (GSS) NOTE- GSS will not reflect changes until Sept. 1, 2023

  6. Current YPT Requirements 2 Registered Leaders at any Pack/Den Event Unregistered parents don t count (even Lion/Tiger parents)

  7. New YPT Requirements Effective Sept. 1, 2023 (GSS) Cub Scout Parents/Guardians DO NOT need to be registered leaders to camp at a Cub Scout overnighter Please note, all adults must be registered leaders to camp with Troops effective 9/1/23 They must review How to Protect your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent s Guide (found in Cub handbooks and online) Unregistered adults must be with a registered leader if they are with any youth that is not their own child

  8. Webelos/AOL Overnighters Packs participating and/or camping at a Troop-organized Webelos/AOL overnighter event do not fall under Troop guidelines in the GSS At these events, Packs are camping as a Pack OR as a Webelos/AOL Den, SEPARATE from the Troop Packs are participating in Troop events during the day (ex- meals, activities, campfire program), but are otherwise separate

  9. Webelos/AOL Overnighters Packs must provide their own 2 Deep Leadership These leaders cannot also count for Troop requirements EX- a Female leader who is registered with the Pack and the Troop cannot count as the only Female leader for a Troop AND as one of only 2 leaders for a Pack Packs must have a BALOO-trained leader present at the campout at all times Council Registered Unit (CRU) Packs can share leaders if they are at the same site since they share the same Chartered Org. Packs must camp at a Cub Scout approved location, plus it must be a separate site from the Troop Ex- Troop camps at Hickory and the Pack camps at Loblolly
