  1. Welcome Girl Scouts Community Initiatives Program

  2. Introduction of staff Ms. Camika Tingle Prior to working in the position, I have worked with at-risk youth in foster care, group homes, detention centers and in therapeutic sessions. I earned my Undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Delaware Technical and Community College and Wilmington College. I earned my Master s degree in Education from Wilmington University. Life experiences took me on a path to assist at-risk youth in many capacities.

  3. Introduction of staff Ms. Dizza Heusner (Ms. Dee) Prior to working in the position, I have worked in the information technology field as a project manager at a fortune 500 company. I earned my Undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. I earned my Master s degree in Business Administration from Eastern University. Life experiences have now taken me to pouring into children to show them how to tap into their greatest potential.

  4. Expectation of GS staff The Girl Scout staff will be prompt and ready to present to the Girl Scouts each week. We will be available for the duration of the session to provide the specified topic, to answer and address any questions or concerns. We will uphold the Girl Scout Law and Promise with each other and the Girl Scouts Provide a safe environment for the girls to learn and express themselves.

  5. Expectations of Girl Scouts The Girl Scouts will attend each session on time. Notice of absences will be provided as soon as possible. They will be available for the duration of the session. They will uphold the Girl Scout Law and Promise with each other and the instructors HAVE FUN!!!

  6. Expectations of parents/guardians Ensure their Girl Scout is logged in on time for each session. Ensure their Girl Scout is upholding the Girl Scout Law and Promise with each other and the instructors Support their Girl Scout as they work towards earning the specific badge

  7. What this program will offer Allow the girls to explore and discover new ideas and adventures Meet other girls that share in their likes Start them on the path of earning badges Introduce the girls to the world of Girl Scouts Start the transition to a local troop to continue their Girl Scout journey

  8. Girl Scout Promise The Girl Scout Promise is the way Girl Scouts agree to act every day toward one another and other people. On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law. * Members may substitute for the word God in accordance with their own spiritual beliefs.

  9. Girl Scout Law The Girl Scout Law outlines a way to act towards one another and the world. I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
