  2. Overview Defines requirements for school conduct based on the number of cases per capita in a county where a school district is located. Relies on the OSDH COVID-19 Alert System, expected to be updated weekly. Provides minimum requirements, but districts may impose additional restrictions. Includes requirements and recommendations for instruction, health protocols, masks, visitors and activities. 2 School Safety Protocols

  3. COVID-19 Alert Levels Level Number of Cases Per Capita (<1.43 cases per 100,000) GREEN Level (1.43 - 14.39 cases per 100,000) YELLOW Level ORANGE - Level 1 (14.39 - 25 cases per 100,000) ORANGE - Level 2 (25 - 50 cases per 100,000) (>50 cases per 100,000) RED Level 3 School Safety Protocols

  4. GREEN Level Instruction Schools expected to offer in-person instruction Masks Strongly recommended for students, teachers, staff Visitors Recommend limiting Activities Allowable, but proceed with caution 4 School Safety Protocols

  5. YELLOW Level Instruction Schools expected to offer in-person instruction Masks Required for students grade 4-12, teachers, staff Required for students PreK-3 in common areas, not classes Exceptions for meals, naptime, recess, PE if distancing possible, or if unsafe Visitors Required to limit Activities Recommend limiting gatherings, assemblies, events 5 School Safety Protocols

ORANGE - Level 1 Instruction Schools recommended to use alternative schedules for greater social distancing or distance learning Continue in-person learning for SPED, others unable to be served Personnel continues working on campus as assigned Masks Required for students, teachers and staff Exceptions for meals, naptime, recess, PE if distancing possible, or if unsafe Visitors Required to limit Activities Buildings may not be used for extracurricular activities where distancing is not possible 6 School Safety Protocols

ORANGE - Level 2 Instruction Schools required to use distance learning Continue in-person learning for SPED, others unable to be served Personnel continues working on campus as assigned Masks Required for students, teachers and staff Exceptions for meals, naptime, recess or if unsafe Visitors Required to restrict visitors Activities Buildings may not be used for extracurricular activities, public gatherings 7 School Safety Protocols

RED Level Instruction Schools required to use distance learning Continue in-person learning for SPED, others unable to be served Personnel continues working on campus as assigned Masks Required for students, teachers and staff Exceptions for meals, naptime, recess or if unsafe Visitors Required to restrict visitors Activities Buildings may not be used for extracurricular activities, public gatherings 8 School Safety Protocols
