Learning outcome: End of the lesson the students will be able to complete the sentences by using the following structures and examples.
Though /Although/Even though Structure: Though/ Although + Subject + verb + object (extension) + Subject + verb + object (extension). Example: Incomplete: Though he is poor, ---------------- . Complete: Though he is poor, he is honest. Incomplete: Though the weather was bad, --------------- . Complete: Though the weather was bad, we went there. In spite of / Despite Structure: In spite of / Despite + possessive form of subject (pronoun) + verb+ing + object (extension) , + Subject + verb + object (extension). Example: Incomplete: In spite of his being poor, ---------------- . Complete: In spite of his being poor, he is honest.
