Understanding the Online Education Experience of Students with Disabilities
A systematic review investigates how students with disabilities experience online education, highlighting challenges in social connections, need for support, and areas for improvement to tailor accommodations. Findings emphasize the importance of peer and staff relationships, strong academic support, and individualized accommodations to address limitations in time and energy. Recommendations include increasing staff availability, student-focused areas, and personalized accommodations to better meet students' needs in online learning environments.
