  3. This challenge will require plenty of SELF- BELIEF, especially if the target is missed, focus on the task and believe in your ability. In threes or fours give each group 3 rugby balls, two cones and a hoop. Place the cones 2m from each other with the player 1 on one cone, player 2 on the other. Player 1 holds the hoop at chest height (away from their body). Player 2 has three attempts to pass a rugby ball through the hoop. Player 2 must stand sideways on to the hoop and pass the ball underarm, using two hands. Make sure to sanitize your equipment thoroughly before working with the next bubble. After 3 attempts the hoop is moved to 3m away with the challenge repeated. Repeat this for 4m and 5m distance from the hoop. Players not involved can collect the rugby balls until it is their turn. If your pupils are unable to score many points you may need to decrease the distance to the hoop or remove it completely. Just make sure they have a go at the challenge in full, first! Each ball which passes through the hoop is counted as 1 point. Record the total number of points for each player. Ensure players remain the correct distance from the target and only count under-arm passes using two hands. EQUIPMENT Stand side on to the target with your stronger hand furthest away from the hoop. Using both hands, hold the ball at belly (one hand on each side). Swing both arms like a pendulum and release the ball. 3 Rugby balls per group. 2 cones per group. 1 hoop per group.

  4. This challenge can be repeated for players to improve their times, show DETERMINATION to get better with each attempt. Set out 5 cones in a straight line, with each cone 1m apart. Set up another 5 cones 3m away, creating two parallel lines of cones. Place a tennis ball on top of each cone on the right side. Players must run to the first tennis ball, pick it up and run to place it on the corresponding empty cone on the left side. Then they run to the next cone to retrieve a tennis ball (on the right) and repeat the process for every pair of cones. Upon reaching the top of the course the player should turn and repeat the challenge to return all the tennis balls to their starting point. You may need to use a different set of tennis balls for each bubble as they will be difficult to sanitize. Or use kwik cricket balls if you have them. If any participants are struggling grab and move the tennis balls task them with simply touching a cone to complete a leg of the course. Use a stopwatch/timer to record the total time for each player. If a ball falls from a cone it must be replaced before continuing the course. All tennis balls must be on the correct cone for the clock to stop. EQUIPMENT 10 cones. (ensure the cones are able to support a tennis ball) 5 Tennis balls Stopwatch/Timer. Maintain a low centre of gravity throughout the course, this will limit time taken to reach for a ball. Lean onto your outside leg to help you change direction.
