Various measures taken for dissemination of information to the public By frequently updating the Public Disclosures in the website of the Authority in accordance with Sec. 4(1)(a) and 4(1)(b) of RTI Act, 2005. Timely disposal of RTI applications and appeals. Various measures taken for dissemination of information to the public IRDAI developed and had been using its own RTI software (RAMS) to manage the RTI applications, appeals and CIC Hearings prior to adoption of RTI Online Portal. Adopted RTI Online Portal to facilitate the citizens to file online RTI applications and appeals and for quick disposals. IRDAI has put in place an Integrated Grievance Management System (IGMS), where consumers/policyholders can lodge complaints online and track the status. IRDAI also runs it s toll free Grievance Call Centre, which is another alternative channel to register the complaints of consumers / policyholders and find out the status. Way forward to make information dissemination more robust and public friendly IRDAI has adopted RTI Online Portal recently, for facilitating the public for filing online RTI applications and appeals. In the process of revamping the website of IRDAI, the following are some of the features contemplated for this purpose: Robust Search Making more user-friendly Bilingual Both in English and Hindi Department wise dissemination of information. Adopted RTI Online Portal for quick disposal of RTI Applications and Appeals. No RTI Application is pending for more than 30 days. No RTI Appeal is pending beyond the stipulated time. The steps being taken for achieving greater transparency through voluntary disclosure as envisaged in Section 4 of the RTI Act; Updating the websites of IRDAI at least once in a month and as and when there is a change on voluntary disclosures as envisaged in Sec. 4 of the RTI Act, 2005.
