  1. English III 9:00-9:50 Mrs. Hadden

  2. Hello! I am Sara Hadden! I have been teaching for 16 years. I have a wonderful husband, Randy, and two amazing little boys; Phoenix is 9 years old and Dash is 6 years old. They both attend Christ s Church Academy. I have a dog and a cat! I love animals! In case you didn t know, I love your kids, too!

  3. Class Behavior and Expectations: I expect every student to come to class prepared with supplies needed for that day. I expect each student to be respectful of me, my time, and each other. I expect that if a student cannot say anything nice then they will keep their mouths closed. I expect that each student should work harder than I do. I have already taken this course and I know my stuff. So, students must participate. I expect that each student is responsible for their grade. I am responsible to teach. I expect that students phones are turned off and zipped in their backpacks during class time.

  4. Class Supplies/Materials My Perspectives textbook Current trade novel CHARGED Ipad/laptop Binder WITH Paper or notebook with pockets folders. Pen (blue or black ink ONLY) or pencil Highlighter

  5. Websites and online platforms used: Turnitin.com is used for turning in writing assignments. Savvasrealize.com is the online textbook. Students will take assessments on this site. Noredink.com is a website used for practicing skills in writing, usage, mechanics, and grammar. Membean is used for vocabulary and language development. This is essential to your student s grade.

  6. Grading Tests are 40% - tests, rough and final drafts, projects, free response essays, Socratic Circles Quizzes are 35% - quizzes, Membean assessments, group project participation, short essays, HYRI quizzes, Socratic Circles Classwork/Homework is 25% - assignments given in class or for homework, including Membean training, book checks, annotations, summarizations, and analysis

  7. Membean Grading: Your student should complete 3 days of Membean training per week, with 15 minutes trained per session. Your student should achieve a 65% accuracy rate when training for quarter 1. This training is recorded as a classwork/homework grade Your student will take a Membean Assessment every two weeks, as a Quiz grade.
