Identified Student Percentage Reporting (ISP) is essential for districts to report the number of students identified through direct certification and categorical lists in eSchool. This report must be submitted by April 15, 2022, to comply with federal regulations. Understanding how ISP is calculated and why it's necessary helps districts ensure accurate reporting for federal programs like the Community Eligibility Provision. Resources and templates are available to assist districts in completing the ISP report efficiently.

  1. IDENTIFIED STUDENT PERCENTAGE REPORTING SY 2021 - 2022

  2. Identified Student Percentage Reporting (ISP) What is ISP? Why must districts report this information? How do I report it? How is it used? What are my deadlines? Where can I find resources?

  3. What is ISP? Identified Student Percentage (ISP) is determined by adding the number of students who are directly certified and marked 04 in eSchool and the number of students who are marked 01 and appear on a categorical list. This does not include student who are 01 based on income. REMEMBER: Students are to be counted only one time! Students must be enrolled in school on April 1, 2022 and must be coded correctly is eSchool.

  4. How is ISP figured? For each school: Determine the total number of students who are eligible by direct certification, living in a household of a directly certified student, or placed on a categorical list by April 1, 2022. Determine the enrollment on April 1, 2022. Divide the total number of identified students by the total enrollment and multiply by 100 to determine the Identified Student Percentage. Identified Student % = # of Identified Students Total # of enrolled students X 100

  5. Why must I report this information? Section 104A of the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 amended the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to provide the Community Eligibility Provision as an alternative to household applications. Child Nutrition Unit (CNU) is required to collect data from each individual school within the district with an LEA along with school district and provide feedback to the district and to USDA by May 1 each year.
