NHG Open Innovation Challenge Guidelines NHG Open Innovation Challenge Guidelines The NHG Open Innovation Challenge seeks to bring clinical teams and companies together to co-develop solutions for unmet healthcare needs. Proposals should involve co-development component, and seek to generate new joint intellectual property with the relevant NHG institution(s). The relevant NHG Institution(s) and selected Company will need to sign a collaboration agreement prior to the start of the project. Relevant privileged or confidential information should be disclosed in this proposal to help convey a better understanding of the project. However, such information must be clearly marked in the proposal. All information provided by Company in this proposal is treated in confidence. The information is furnished to the National Healthcare Group (NHG), including the relevant NHG institutions, and Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) with the understanding that it shall be used or disclosed for evaluation, approval, reference and reporting purposes. If your proposal is not successful, this document will be destroyed after the retention period deemed as appropriate. For shortlisted projects, EnterpriseSG may require the teams to present to an evaluation panel and/or submit written proposals in accordance with EnterpriseSG s guidelines. Such guidelines will be communicated by EnterpriseSG to the shortlisted companies directly. Please keep to a total of 10 slides for the sections from Background to Project Financing (font size Arial 12). Additional information can be included in the Annex.   3. Background Background Describe the background and significance of the unmet healthcare need which the proposed solution is intending to address Describe the current treatment/approaches (if any) and their shortcomings. (1-2 slides)

  4. Company/Project Team Profile Company/Project Team Profile Brief summary of the company s background, core business activities, competency in the area, and track record of technology commercialisation, if and where applicable. Brief background on the key team members who will work on the project. (1 slide)

  5. Description of the Solution Description of the Solution Describe the concept to be developed, the key innovation of the proposed solution, and the stage of development of the concept/ product. How is the solution proposed better than any existing/emerging competing technologies/products/services? Briefly describe the key technical hurdles that need to be overcome, and the resources required to do so. Are there any key partners whom you plan to work with to develop the technology? (1-2 slides)

  6. Intellectual Property Intellectual Property If applicable, please state any 3rd party licensed technology being contributed by Company to this Project. Describe what Foreground Intellectual Property (if any) is likely to be generated under the development project. Any Foreground Intellectual Property is expected to be co-owned between the relevant NHG institution and company. (1 slide)

  7. Commercialisation Commercialisation Plans Briefly describe the Go-to-market strategy/ business model (including any regulatory strategy). What are some key distribution channels for the solution? Who are some of the key customer segments targeted? What is the estimated market size for the proposed solution? What is the eventual price range of the product/service? How does the company plan to fund this project at the various stages of development? (1 slide) Plans

  8. Milestones & Timeline of Project Milestones & Timeline of Project Provide key milestones and a timeline for development of the solution. Milestones must be realistic, specific, quantifiable, and must relate to technical objectives, targets and success criteria. It is recommended that you tabulate your milestones and use a Gantt chart to depict your timeline (1 slide)
