Introduction of Legalization The consular legalization mentioned in the Measures refers to the practice of confirming the authenticity of the last seal or signature on the foreign-related notarial deeds and relevant documents issued by other countries, performed by consular legalization agencies upon the application of natural persons, legal persons or other organizations.

Document Requirement For The Application of Authentication Lawful and valid identity documents; Truthfully, fully and correctly filled application form(download from the websitewww.visaforchina.org or request from the reception of the visa center); Original and photocopy of documents to be legalized ; Provide the signature person s ID or embarkation card & passport data page copy if the lawyer certify true signature; The consular legalization section may require, if necessary, the submission of relevant proof documents by the applicant. After examination, if the consular legalization section finds the documents, formalities or other materials are not complete, the agency shall inform the applicant on one occasion of all the necessary formalities or proof documents to be completed or supplemented.

Documents Which Are Not Accepted By the Chinese Embassy The seal or signature of the document is false; The seal or signature of the documents is not kept on record, or not conforming to the recorded one; The seal, signature, binding, or time limit, of the document does not conform to the regulations and requirements of the issuing or user organizations of the document; It may harm China national interests or social public interests; Single case can only be attended a single certificate in principle. A binding that has more than one case or has entrained irrelevant documents; Other circumstances under which consular legalization shall not be performed.
