US HRAC Background Information US HRAC has existed in various forms for many years Previous to about 2 years ago, had been closely integrated with Global HRAC Since 2015 US HRAC and Global HRAC have worked to separate and focus on specific areas US focus & Global focus. Still aligned on key herbicide resistance areas but working in with different focus Budget & Oversight: US HRAC self-funds from member fees Oversight is provided through an agreement with CropLife America US HRAC operates under a constitution of operating procedures and with full consideration of anti-trust guidance
Activities (May 2016 April 2017) Several responses and comments to the U.S. EPA s proposed guidelines on Herbicide Resistance Management Plans Engagement with Weed Science Society of America (WSSA) committees: Herbicide resistant plants, Herbicide resistance education, Policy Response and comments regarding EPA to the Office of Independent Council Planning and implementation of US HRAC Strategy Session Meeting with EPA at WSSA to discuss Herbicide Resistance Management guidelines and plans Budget development and planning for FY 2016
