Oregon State Seal of Biliteracy program has made significant progress since its pilot year in 2014-2015. District-wise data, languages spoken, partner language assessments used, and future plans for expansion and outreach are outlined. The program aims to recognize and promote biliteracy among students, with a focus on increasing participation and post-secondary opportunities.

CURRENT DISCUSSIONS: Expand to every high school in the state, with information also at the middle school level Get into every high school in participating districts Investigate post-secondary opportunities for students to earn the Seal working with Chemeketa on a pilot Assistance in funding for some assessments Promote the Seal to our ever EL students Begin conversations with area businesses about the meaning and impact of hiring students with the Seal
