Verb Expresses an action or a state of being Every sentence has at least one. Examples play I play the drums. is Pizza is delicious. are trimming We are trimming the tree.
Helping Verbs Help verbs show when things happen The Helping Verbs Am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been, has, have, had, did, do, does, can, could, would, should, shall, will Helping verbs help us make verb phrases.
