Passive voice in Pennsylvania Dutch (PD) involves the subject of the sentence not performing the action but having the action done to them. PD uses forms of "waerre" and the past participle to form passive sentences. The presence of an agent in passive sentences is indicated using the dative preposition "VUN." Practice turning active sentences into passive and improve your PD skills.
