It can also help guide people and organizations in deciding whether or not to act in an area where the law is contested.

  3. Leadership: Leadership: Leadership is the ability to influence, motivate, inspire and transform others to achieve certain goals towards a vision. It is the specific set of skills and attributes which can be acquired through learning It is all about the zealous action of a person taking an initiative to bring a change, solve a problem and accomplish the certain goals.

Digital Environment: Digital Environment: According to Wikipedia, a digital environment is an integrated communications environment where digital devices communicate and manage the content and activities within it. The concept is based on digital electronics systems which are integrated and implemented for a global community. Example of these digital systems include cloud servers, search engines, social media applications and other mobile applications.

Technology is changing how we reason, dialogue and act. It helps to reason on the logics between what is right and wrong in an age of connected people and computers. It helps to reason on how to hold powerful tech companies to account. It helps to reason on which technology should be developed and deployed in areas where the law seems to be silent or disputed?

Nowadays, people spend unwholesome number of hours in a week on social media, thus increasing possible cases of insomnia, depression and even suicide in some vulnerable age groups. Threat to data privacy with several digital solutions out there mining and monetizing private data without owners' consent (Facebook). Threats to social unity are now enabled by digital technology. Much more disturbing is the fact that various social media have become willing tools for the spread of fake news, propaganda and incitement of violence against ethnic groups etc. (Twitter)

However, trust though well earned could be fragile. Once lost, it is very hard to win back and as such one cannot afford to be complacent. Using data privacy as an example, an accidental release of people s private data, can have severe negative effects on the trust and confidence placed on the data custodians. Additionally Sharing data while keeping it secure can be a hard balance to get right. It s difficult to ascertain if the organizations receiving the data being shared will use it in the right way, or keep it secure

It also requires overcoming the fear of failure and creating an environment where it is safe to innovate with data analysis, and where making mistakes won t compromise the security of the data. Ethical Leaders in the digital environment mostly adopt the Agile leadership method which is characterized by the ability to be calm in the face of pressure, reacting to unique circumstances effectively while being open to innovation

Their actions influence the masses and influence the future of the digital environment Ethical leaders in a digital environment must be both lovable and feared, while employees are nurtured and cultivated for success without tolerating unethical behavior.
