If I roll a ball down the road, why does it eventually stop? Friction between the ball and the road slows it down and causes it to stop.

  3. FORCES I. Nature of Forces A.What is Acceleration? Acceleration is the rate at which velocity (speed and direction) changes 3 ways to accelerate: 1.Speed up (positive acceleration) 2.Slow down (negative acceleration) 3.Change direction (neutral acceleration)
