  4. Work Packages WP1 Strategic Co-ordination and Coherence WP2 - Business pillar and innovation WP3 Cross-cutting and Emerging Policy Issues WP4 Project Administration

  5. WP1 Objective: coordinate and ensure the coherent work through all Focus Areas to produce policy relevant results regarding Chinese and European water policies, to improve policy coherence between sectors and formulate recommendations for dialogue between EU and China and establish cooperation with key Intern. Stakeholders. iOc 1. Annual High-level Conferences conducted at the basis of high-quality, relevant and well-timed contributions from the Focus Areas and the HA Program to the political dialogue. iOc 2. Project plan, approach and activities of the 4 FAs and the HA aligned with each other and with the priorities of Core Chinese Partners e.g. MWR and EU e.g. DG ENV. iOc 3. Strategic co-operation established with key International Stakeholders e.g. WB, OECD, GWP, with a particular focus on identifying mutual actions reg emerging and cross-cutting issues.

WP2 Objective: Development and promotion of the technical solutions, business cases and adjoined regulatory changes of tomorrow through adressing the challenges of today Oc 1 Chinese interest in European solutions increased Oc 2 Framework conditions for European Companies in China improved Oc 3 Strategic partnerships build with European and Chinese stakeholdes build on concrete challenges and innovation initiatives Oc 4 Policy Discussions strenghtened through involvement of the Business Sector Oc 5 New Business Models and Solutions for Increased (water- related) Ressource-efficiency promoted Oc 6 New Business Models and Solutions for Digitalization of the water sector promoted

WP3 Oc 3.1 SDG s The objective of the WP3 is to promote the implementation of water- related SDGs in China and EU, and also explore links between other SDGs and water SDGs and produce recommendations how synergies can be achieved and trade-offs avoided. Oc 3.2 Source to Sea The objective is to explore the Source to Sea concept and discuss how it can be used to achieve the SDGs and improve water and ocean governance. Oc 3.3 Circular economy / Efficiency of use of water related resources The objective of this activity is to stimulate development of new technical solutions through new, cross-sectoral combination of solutions, and outline of new business solutions for a market-based implementation Oc 3.4 Emerging issues The objective of WP 3.4 is to identify and bring to policy dialogue potential new policy issues of mutual interest
