  2. MEMORY VERSE: And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof (Revelation 5:5). TEXT: Revelation 5:1-14

  3. INTRODUCTION John received a revelation from God during his stay on the Island of Patmos. He received a vision about a book with seven seals on it. The book contains God s future plans for the whole world and humanity. The books provides a description of the forth coming judgment on all sinners and backsliders as well as victory for all saints. The book is sealed to ensure the secrets are kept from humanity and opening the authority of a special person. book needs the

The one person with authority to open the book is Jesus. Without His authorization, the book remained sealed for ever. He wept because remained sealed, God s plans to judge sinners and bless the saints will go unfulfilled. However, praise the Lord! Jesus came to open the books.   7. 1. THE SEALED BOOK THE SEARCH FOR THE WORTHY LAMB Rev. 5:1-8; Isaiah 11:1; 29:11; 53:7: Daniel 12:4: John 1:29 The word sealed means something that is closed or wrapped or protected. Anything can be used to seal an item. In the olden days, Kings used a special stamp to seal a special item, document. Only authorized person has the power to open such sealed item. Hence a seal is a symbol of authority and power letter or

  8. 1. THE SEALED BOOK THE SEARCH FOR THE WORTHY LAMB CONT D. The book in our study is a scroll with seven seals on it. The seven seals contained seven messages to the world. The search began in heaven for someone of authority to open the seals (Revelation 5:2) and no one was worthy of the book. All founders of the gospel, church leaders and self- proclaimed ministers were disqualified.

  9. 1. THE SEALED BOOK THE SEARCH FOR THE WORTHY LAMB CONT D. Thankfully, after many hours of search, Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah was found qualified (Revelation 5:6). This signifies that Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb that God gave to the world to redeem the world from sin. Sinners who reject Him will face the consequences at the end of time. Do not wait till the Judgment day, Repent now and let Him take away all your sins.

  10. 2. JESUS CHRIST THE WORTHY LAMB OF GOD. Revelation 5: 4-9; Genesis 49: 10; Isaiah 11: 1,10; Acts 4:12; John 10:7-11 When there was no one to open the book, John wept bitterly. Why? Because without opening of the book, the fate of humanity is sealed for eternal punishment. Meaning no hope of salvation and eternal life for humanity. Thank God, there is a Saviour for the whole world Jesus Christ

  11. 2. JESUS CHRIST THE WORTHY LAMB OF GOD CONT D. Jesus was found worthy. Why? i. Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb who was crucified for our sins and ungodly acts, ii. Christ is the One Who redeemed us from our sins by His blood at Calvary iii. Christ made us kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth (Rev. 5: 9, 10). No one can do these things for us, except Jesus. Only Him has the power to save any sinner. Pray today and be saved. Remember, The prayers of the saints are as sweet-smelling reaches the throne.   12. 3. OUR GREAT REDEMPTION AND JOYOUS CELEBRATION BEFORE Revelation 5: 9-14 When Jesus took the book from God, there was a great joy and celebration in Heaven (Revelation 5:9). Salvation (Redemption) is the greatest miracle anyone can receive from God. Salvation produces a new life and total freedom from bondage of sin and Satan. A saved child is free and free indeed. Songs of praise are vital in our worship and prayers to God. Children must, participate in praise and worship during church services. When we sing and pray, God is always delighted There are several things to praise God for in our lives. Take a moment to pause and think of all the wonderful things God has done for you. heard the voices of praising God therefore,

There is only one work to do in heaven and that is to sing praises to God Are you ready to get there and join the heavenly band to sing?
