Doping what is it? Doping in sport is used to refer to an illegal and artificial way to improve sport results. It is when sportsman take not allowed in sport drugs. anabolic steroids and hormones such as EPO. Blood transfusion is also classed as doping as it enhances erythrocytes in the blood, which increases the oxygen levels. These include The only acceptable form of doping is cheering supporters.
Doping is often harmful to health, sometimes it can cause serious injury or death, particularly if used carelessly, without scientific knowledge. Some of the current methods of doping used under strict specialist control are extremely difficult to detect. Their negative effects can be revealed even after the end of sporting career.

What WADA is ? The World Anti-DopingAgency is a foundation which fights all over the world with doping in sport. It was established under the leadership of International Olimpic Committee. WADA started their activity at 10th of November 1999 in Lausanne in Switzerland. Logo of WADA
The World Anti-Doping Agency's mission is to lead a collaborative worldwide campaign for doping- free sport. Since WADA was found it took many actions to promote fair play in sport. Nowadays more and more people are aware of the danger of doping and their priority is fair play in sport and protection of life.

World Anti-Doping Code On 5th of March 5, 2003 in Copenhagen at the World Conference on Doping the World Anti-Doping Code was accepted. The Code is a document aiming to standardize anti-doping regulations in all sports and countries. It embodies an annual list of prohibited substances and methods that sports persons are not allowed to take or use. The acceptance of this Code by the Olympic Committees of the countries taking part was a condition of their admittance for the Olympic Games in Athens. For the first time in the history we had standardized anti-doping policies of all countries in all fields of sport.
