What kind of teacher are you? Teaching in HE is less important than academic research Teaching should be about conveying knowledge, facts and ideas Teaching is about helping students to learn to think critically A teacher needs to be a performer Teaching needs to focus on developing students employability Good teaching engages students actively in their learning Teaching is about assessing and grading student abilities and performances Educational theory should inform the way we act/ behave as teachers Teaching my subject requires a very particular approach Teaching is about helping students attain defined learning outcomes Anyone can learn to be a good teacher Using this kind of physical activity in an HE context is inappropriate.
