  3. METHODS OF TEACHING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

  4. TOPICS TO BE COVERED TEACHING METHODS IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING METHODS PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING METHODS TEACHING METHODS

  5. TEACHING METHODS The term teaching method refers to the general principles, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. Your choice of teaching method depends on what fits you your educational philosophy, classroom demographic, subject area(s) and school mission statement. Teaching theories can be organized into four categories based on two major parameters: a teacher-centered approach versus a student-centered approach, and high-tech material use versus low-tech material use.

  6. IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING METHODS Teaching methods are the broader techniques used to help students achieve learning outcomes, while activities are the different ways of implementing these methods. Teaching methods help students: Master the content of the course Learn how to apply the content in particular contexts Instructors should identify which teaching methods will properly support a particular learning outcome. Its effectiveness depends on this alignment. To make the most appropriate choice, an instructor should consider learning outcomes, student needs and the learning environment.

  7. PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING METHODS 1.Creating an Active Learning Environment. 2.Establish a Rapport Between the Students and the Teacher. 3.Feedback and Communication. 4.Inclusivity. 5.Helping Students to Manage Time. 6.Motivation and Inspiration. 7.Adaptability and Betterment

  8. TEACHING METHODS Command method The Command teaching style is the closest approximation to the traditional system of education under the progressive teaching technology, Student-Directed Teaching. As part of the five distinct teaching styles developed by Don Green, Command is the most readily understood by many students, as it is most similar to what they are used to from the public system. The Command teaching style is for those students whose learning characteristics require formal instruction and a specific assignment for the practice to be appropriate for the student to master the objective. These students need to be directed as to what they will do during the class time allocated to the specific subject being studied.

  9. Lecture method is regarded as the most comprehensively used pedagogical method within educational institutions at all levels. In simple terms, this is the method in which the instructors are imparting information to the students in terms of lesson plans and academic concepts within the classroom settings. They make use of various types of teaching-learning materials and instructional strategies. When these are made use of, various factors need to be taken into consideration, i.e. grade levels of students, subjects and concepts, needs and requirements of the students, academic goals and the overall system of education. When the instructors are preparing lectures, they need to be well-equipped. One of the important aspects is, they should be able to clarify the doubts and provide answers to the questions put forward by the students. The lecture method has advantages as wells as disadvantages. The advantages should be reinforced and disadvantages should be curbed. Therefore, when the instructors are putting into operation the lecture method at all levels of education, they need to make sure that students are able to acquire an efficient understanding of the concepts. The main concepts that are taken into account in this research paper are, factors needed in planning a lecture, skills needed to prepare the lecture method, and advantages and disadvantages of lecture method.
