Westfield Washington Schools Highlights of Success WWS is in the top 3% of Indiana schools in ISTEP+ success WHS has the highest graduation rate in Hamilton County at 98.2% WHS was recognized by U.S. News & World Report & The Washington Post as a top high school in Indiana and in the nation Five WWS schools were recognized as Four Star schools for 2014-15 Successful academic and extra-curricular teams Diverse community partnerships to support the strong programs at each school

Historical Perspective In 2009 the State of Indiana significantly reduced funding for all schools Westfield s enrollment was 5,850 students Westfield received $5,006 per student, ranking in the bottom 10% of public and charter funded schools in the state ($858 less than the state avg.) Property tax cap losses from 2009-2016 are estimated at a loss of $44 million An operation referendum was successfully passed in November of 2010 for an increase of 23 cents to the 2011 tax rate

  4. Historical Perspective In 2016 the tax rate was reduced from 23 cents to 20.9 cents per $100 of assessed value, saving taxpayers $527,743 Purpose of the referendum was to maintain quality programs and personnel Referendums are valid for up to 7 years
