  3. Start and end times 08:40 collected from the playground. Anyone arriving after 8:50am, should go to the office to collect a late slip. At 3:30 unless your child has written permission to walk home on their own, they will be kept at school until collected by a named adult. A password must be provided. 3

  4. Punctuality and attendance 4

  5. Incentives we offer in school: Weekly scores on the doors children can see how their class compare to others in school, creating some healthy competition. Weekly celebration assembly to celebrate the class with the highest attendance figure. Classes with 97%-100% attendance are now eligible to collect Clarendon Coins. Clarendon Coins Each class whose weekly attendance is between 97%-100% will be allocated Clarendon Coins, either 5, 3, 2 or 1, which can be banked up each half term and exchanged for a treat which has a Clarendon Coins value and is chosen collectively by the whole class. 100% Attendance Golden Ticket children with 100% attendance for that half term will get a golden ticket to put in the golden box, a name will be pulled out during the assembly and that child will be given a 25 gift voucher. This will be repeated each half term. Attendance Achiever Any children who have been highlighted as having attendance issues including those who are persistently absent from school and have had a meeting/warning letter, will be monitored and if an improvement has been made over the half term then Mrs Stone will select one of them for a family award such as a Cinema ticket or a voucher. End of year 100% attendance award for the children at the end of the school year who have had 100% attendance all year round. The reward is usually a trip to the cinema. Attendance Legends any children who have had 100% attendance more than twice in their school career. They will then be added onto the Hall Display for the next academic year. Punctuality Top Table one child from each class, who has been in school on time each day of the week, will be chosen by the class teacher to have lunch with SLT on a Friday lunch time. 5

  6. Homework All completed online. Children will earn stamps for a prize at the end of the year. Planner and school reading book 3 times a week Homework will be checked on a Friday Mirodo Maths Mirodo English TT rockstars Spelling Shed Children can attend breakfast club to complete their homework. 50p entry will include breakfast. There will be a treat at the end of the year for all children who have completed all of their homework every week 6

  8. Access to other sites For topic work and research children can use the below sites which they have access to. Purple mash Britannica Myon.co.uk TTrockstars Charanga All children have passwords in their diaries for all these sites. 8

  10. School Uniform big push Red sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan with school emblem. White polo shirt/ shirt/ blouse. charcoal grey skirt or trousers. Flat black shoes (not trainers) Girls head scarves; plain and black. No pins. Must be shoulder length. White socks (girls) grey socks (boys) Tights worn under skirts should be grey. no leggings Discrete hair bands No extreme hairstyles or haircuts Single piercings only (plain gold/silver stud.) Summer wear: Girls red and white school dresses; Boys grey school shorts. Members of the School Council wear a badge provided by the school. Suitable Coat Hi-viz jacket. Available to buy at school office. PLEASE CAN ALL UNIFORM BE LABELLED 10

PE Kit Bring to school for the half term (Tuesday) Black elasticated gym pumps (indoors) and trainers (outdoors) Black shorts or black tracksuit bottoms (weather appropriate) Plain white t-shirt (no collar) School jumper can be worn over PE kit All clothes and bags to be labelled with the child s name. No jewellery or headscarves to be worn for safety reasons. Quick release headscarves can be bought from the school office. Come to school in normal school uniform and get changed in school. Bring PE kit in a draw string PE bag 11

  12. Curriculum Reading : Home Reading book (read 3 times a week at home) Parents to sign homework diary; Guided reading sessions stamped Child can write an entry in their diary when they have read. (STEM sentences) Writing: Focus around a key text; Variety quantity and quality; Handwriting; Grammar Speaking and Listening; Standard English; Mathematics; Key facts multiplication and division; place value of numbers up to 1 million. Reasoning and challenge Greater depth through Independence ideas generation, application across the curriculum - Reading, Writing and Maths 12

  15. How can I support my child at school? - Ensure they have enough sleep each night. - Have a healthy breakfast and lunch. - Wear the correct uniform and take pride in their appearance. - Ensure they bring everything they need to school (reading book, diary, PE kit) 15

  16. How you can support your child for school Encourage them to take part in extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs. Make sure homework has been completed and spellings learnt by a Friday Listen to your child read at least three times a week, comment and sign the diary. Make sure your child is in school on time.
