The Firearms Champion Country Initiative Objective: Supporting Member States efforts in identifying and disseminating best practices along the chain of measures that States need to put in place in order to effectively prevent, detect and combat the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, P&C&A, address their links to other crimes and achieve and monitor SDG target 16.4. First focus area: Evidence-based decision making through the generation, collection, recording, analysis and operational use of firearms data Modalities: Flexible approach with a variety of outputs, such as o National studies on firearms trafficking and links to other forms of crime o Contribution to issue paper on good practices to detect, prevent and combat illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, their P&C&A
