Numbers beyond 100
Three digit numbers Three digit numbers are made up of hundreds, tens and ones. From 100 till 999 are all the three digit numbers. H T O 1 0 0 1 is in the hundred place. 0 is in the tens place. 0 is in the ones place. .
Three digit numbers numerically and in words. For all the three digits number, there is a trick for writing the number names. The number name consist of two parts. First is the hundred digit and second is the tens and ones taking together. H T O 1 0 0
We have 1 in the hundred place so we write one hundred . In the tens and ones place there s zero, zero which means only zero. When we have zero we don t write anything. So we write H T O 1 0 0 one hundred
Next number is 101 now what about the number name of this number. What was the trick ?
First breaking into two parts. H T O 1 0 1 1st part : 1 is the hundred digit so we write one hundred 2nd part : 0 is the tens digit and 1 is the ones digit , when we take them together ,we will write only one. So the number name is one hundred and one
Similarly we have all the other number names. H T O Number in words 1 0 1 one hundred and one 1 0 2 one hundred and two 1 0 3 one hundred and three 1 0 4 one hundred and four 1 0 5 one hundred and five
