First Principles SIN: What Has God Done About It... We Must Have The Understanding Of God God is Omnipotent (All-Powerful) Almighty used 57 times in Scripture. 49 of those instances are in the Old Testament and of the remaining 8 instances, all but one (2 Cor 6:18) are in the Book of Revelation And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:18 KJV)
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. (Genesis 17:1 2 KJV) Shaddai All Powerful Creator, Provider, Sustainer YWHW the proper name of the one true God; knowledge and use of the name implies personal or covenant relationship; the name pictures God as the one who exists and/or causes
Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. (Exodus 6:1 4 KJV)

For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; (Hebrews 7:26 KJV) That is, he did not associate with them as such. He did not partake of their feelings, plans, pleasures. Though he mingled with them, yet it was merely to do them good; and in all his life there was an entire separation from the feelings, principles, and views of a sinful world. First Principles SIN: What Has God Done About It... We Must Have The Understanding Of God God is Love He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8 KJV) Love- The best for the object by the subject God is the subject of our salvation and we are the objects of it (Jn 3:16)
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. (1 John 4:8 11 KJV) Propitiation- the means by which sins are forgiven the means of forgiveness (Louw & Nida)
