NPDES permits in Michigan regulate the discharge of municipal, industrial, and commercial wastewater, as well as stormwater, into state surface waters under Act 451. The permit fees vary based on the type of discharge, with separate fees for stormwater and non-stormwater discharges. Industrial stormwater fees range from $0 to $400 annually, and MS4 fees depend on the population served. Non-stormwater application fees differ for EPA major and minor facilities, with fees due upon application submission. Annual fees for EPA major facilities and various municipal categories are also outlined.
