  2. LESSON 1: What are the causes of cybercrime? Learning outcomes: I can Describe what cybercrime is using key terms Evaluate the reasons why someone may become involved in cybercrime Describe or demonstrate decision making and risk assessment skills in relation to cybercrime

  3. EXPLAIN TO AN ALIEN Why might someone get involved in cybercrime? What is cyber crime? What are the consequences of cybercrime? What crimes are committed online?

  4. CRACK THE CODE TO DECIPHER THE DEFINITION Hint: each number represents the same letter (e.g. 6=M) Start by working out the first word to fill in the letters for 15, 13, 8, 21 throughout the puzzle.

  5. CYBERCRIME DEFINITION CYBERCRIME MEANS ANY CRIMINAL ACTIVITY THAT CAN ONLY BE CARRIED OUT USING A COMPUTER OR THE INTERNET, FOR EXAMPLE HACKING

IDEA SHOWER: CRIMES AND CAUSES Crimes Causes One half of the room should write down examples of any crimes they can think of that are committed online The other half should write down any reasons or causes they can think of for committing these crimes For money Hacking For power / control Data or identify theft For political reasons DDoSing
