Definition Conjunction is a word that join the words, clauses, phrases and sentences. It is also known as joining words or linking words.

Examples for Coordinating conjunctions I like to eat cookies and I like to drink milk. The dress was beautiful but slightly expensive. He says nice words yetyou don t trust him. He is sick so he is not going to school. Neither her parents nor her friends supported her. Sam drank some water for he was thirsty. Which colour do you like red or blue?
Examples for subordinating conjunctions I saw him while I was driving my car. You live a happy life as long as you think optimistically. He came here so that you can meet him. She sings songs because she wants to become a singer. You cannot succeed unless you work sincerely. I went to a market where I saw a joker. We were happy when we received the first prize.
