What is Aqualyx & Deso? Aqualyx & DEDO are an injectable fat loss treatment. It is a liquid based solution, derived from cholanic acid, which is produced by our bile duct to help us break down fats. It is not a weight loss solution and is suitable for smaller, stubborn pockets of fat, not large area fat reduction. Purchasable without prescription Widely available MHRA (Medicine and Health Care Regulatory Agency)
How How Aqualyx Aqualyx & & Deso Deso works works AQUALYX alters the surface tension of the fat cell membrane and increases the permeability of it. This causes the fat to be released from within the cell. An ultrasound device can then be applied over the surface of the skin in the targeted area and this causes the movement of liquids both inside and outside the fat cells OR massaged for 10 minutes. The fat cells start to balloon and break up, leading to the drainage of micro droplets of fatty liquid into the body, which is then metabolised through the lymphatic system and excreted via the kidneys in the urine. Clients MUST drink plenty of water (3L) and be active as much as possible to increase the lymph drainage.
TREATMENT AREAS AQUALYX can be used to treat stubborn fat pockets in a number of areas Including Hips/love handles Arms Thighs The area underneath the buttocks Stomach and back Chin Knees (only in healthy, active clients due to lymph drainage)
SESSIONS NEEDED The time taken for a treatment session will depend upon the size of the area and site being treated. Generally it takes between 30-60 minutes per treatment and the patient will typically require 2-8 treatments, 4 weeks apart. Some people may see significant results after 1 or 2 sessions. Each individual client will be different so tailor their treatment course specifically to them.
PROCEDURE - COMPLETE CONSULTATION - APPLY LOCAL ANAESTHETIC IF DESIRED OR ADD LIDOCAINE TO PRODUCT - CLEAN AREA TO BE TREATED - MARK UP AREA INTO SQUARES 1cm on face or 1.5-2CM on body - DRAW UP SOLUTION - INJECT 0.2ML INTO EACH SQUARE - INJECTIONS ARE PLACED INTO SUBCUTANEOUS FAT (APPROX 6MM- 10MM DEPTH) - SHOULD NOT RAISE A BLEB ON SKIN TOO SUPERFICIAL - SHOULD NOT CAUSE A LUMP TOO DEEP, IN MUSCLE
RESULTS Results are visible around 4-8 weeks from first or second treatment (IF MAINTAINING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE) The results of a FAT DISSOLVING treatment are permanent under the condition of maintaining a constant weight. Once the freed fatty acids have been processed through the body s lymphatic system, they don t reappear. However, the procedure is only permanent if clients follow a healthy diet and exercise frequently following treatment. If you regain weight, it is likely that the fat pockets will reappear. If a healthy lifestyle is maintained, the results should be permanent

Some people may experience some light bruising, but this and any other side effects will usually resolve within a few days. Over the counter painkillers to control any pain-related side effects.
