Understanding and Overcoming Self-Defeating Patterns in Students
Students often hinder their own success due to unconscious self-defeating habits and limiting beliefs. By increasing self-awareness and rewriting outdated scripts, students can empower themselves to achieve their goals and dreams. This guide provides insights on identifying, rewriting, and creating new rules for personal success through in-class activities and out-of-class assignments. Embracing self-awareness can lead to positive transformations in students' lives.

Chapter 6: Gaining Self-Awareness Melinda Booth
Many students, despite their conscious intentions, make choices that sabotage their success.
As a result of their self-defeating habit patterns (including behavior, thoughts, emotion) and unconscious limiting beliefs, students with great potential often thwart the achievement of their most cherished goals and dreams. They can become their own greatest obstacle.
By assisting students to become aware of their unconscious self-defeating habit patterns and limiting beliefs, we empower them to rewrite outdated life scripts and change their lives for the better.
