  1. Date: Title: Inappropriate Sexualised Behaviour Write a response to each of the statements. What do you think and why? It s always nice to get attention, no matter what kind of attention or who it s from. People who wear revealing clothes are really flirty and asking for attention. Is someone spends time annoying you or teasing you, it s probably because they like you. What adults describe as sexual bullying is just how teenagers flirt. CHL: Can you explain how these ideas link to what you have already learned about relationships?

  3. What is meant by sexual bullying? Talk to your partner. The NSPCC defines sexual bullying as: Any bullying behaviour, whether physical or non- physical, that is based on a person s sexuality or gender. It is when sexuality or gender is used as a weapon by any gender towards another person. CHL: Can you think of any examples of this that you have seen on TV or in the media?

  4. Case Study: Is it Okay? 1. Why do you think each of the characters posted what they did? 2. Do you think this is typical of the way people speak on social media? 3. Does anything about the language make you feel uncomfortable explain why? 4. How would you advise Carla and George to respond? Why?

  5. Task: Read your problems from the problem forum (following slides) and respond to the person. Create a pledge that outlines the school community s response to inappropriate sexualised language and behaviour. What is the inappropriate sexual behaviour in the example? How can it be tackled? Why is it important to tackle this behaviour? What do we want people to know when they come into Astrea Academy Dearne?
