AIMS AND OBJECTIVES After the end of the lesson the Ss will be able to say the definition of adverb. explain the position of adverb . use adverb in their real life.
Warm up 5 min WELCOME TO ENGLISH CLASS
Look at the pictures. How is the old man walking? slowly How is the horse running? fast How fast? Very fast
so, what kind of part of speech slowly, fast and very are? They are ADVERB. so, could you tell me what we are going to learn today? Do you think that learning adverb is important? ADVER Ifso, Let s do some work on it.
Look at the pictures. The flower looks very beautiful. Here VERY modifies the adjective BEAUTIFUL
Look at the pictures. The old man is walking slowly. Here SLOWLY modifies the verb WALKING The young man is walking very fast . Here FAST modifies the verb WALKING Again here VERY modifies the adverb FAST
So, what is an adverb?. An adverb is a modifying word And it modifies a verb, an adjective and an adverb BUT
An adverb modifies an adjective sweet An adverb modifies an adverb well An adverb modifies a pronoun everybody An adverb modifies a preposition within An adverb modifies a conjunction because An adverb modifies a sentence he servived the accident
