Del Norte and Humboldt Counties in California have implemented various measures to prepare for and respond to tsunamis, including installing warning sirens, creating informational materials, and coordinating with local schools and community groups. During a simulated event on June 14th, the counties experienced challenges such as communication system overload and partial failures, but also demonstrated swift response actions to protect the public. Both counties utilized their Emergency Operations Centers effectively and issued timely all-clear notifications once the threats subsided.
