KAIROS MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry is
to share
 the transforming
love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives
of incarcerated men, women and youth
as well as their families,
to become loving and productive
citizens of their communities.

Vision of Kairos

A community spiritually freed from the effects of
imprisonment reaching
ALL impacted by incarceration
through the Love, Hope and Faith found in Jesus Christ.

Kairos Prison Ministry

Kairos is a ministry of the church ... a ministry of the disciples
whom Jesus, the Christ, has called into community and sent forth
into the correctional institutions supported by the community
outside of the institution. Kairos has been called the best
example of the early church in existence today.

Our path for recruiting and
fundraising is to proclaim that
your neighborhood Christian
community is directly impacted
by incarceration, and they have
a Christian responsibility to
those in prison.

Kairos Community Serving
Their Community

God did not intend for Kairos Prison Ministry to live in
insolation.
He designed our ministry to thrive in relationship with others.
He designed our ministry to NOT be focused only on the
Weekend but community as well.
He designed Kairos Prison Ministry to recruit for the Mission,
Vision and Program, including Continuing Ministry.

Why Continuing Ministry is
Important

It is the success of Kairos programs –
which also sets Kairos apart from other
ministries.
The Weekend is only the vehicle,
Continuing Ministry, both in the Facility
and the Community, is the destination.

The goal of Continuing
Ministry is to THRIVE not only
to Survive!!!
Recruiting is part of
Continuing Ministry

Community Talking Points
Scripture for Communities to Get Involved

Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are
blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from
the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me
something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to
drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you
clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison
and you visited Me.’
Matt 25:-34-36

Kairos Prison Ministry is dedicated to sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ with incarcerated individuals and their families, aiming to help them become contributing members of society. Through a community-driven approach, Kairos seeks to spiritually uplift and support those affected by incarceration, fostering hope, love, and faith. The ministry's vision extends beyond prison walls to create a society free from the impact of imprisonment, advocating for the Christian responsibility towards those in prison. The statistics presented highlight the widespread issue of incarceration in the United States and emphasize the urgent need for support and outreach to those affected by the criminal justice system.
