Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER Background Scripture: Jeremiah 31:22; Joel 2:28-29 Jeremiah 31:22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER INTRODUCTION There is something so special about a man and a woman, male and female. It was so incredibly special that God went inside of the man and brought out enough of him to make a woman. Then He allowed them to come back together, and they became one flesh, bones of his bones and flesh of his flesh. What a mystery man and woman are. Only God can fully understand how He can take a woman out of the man and the man yet has his own existence. Sometimes, I think the same mysterious working was at work when God allowed man and woman to come together and a baby comes forth.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER INTRODUCTION Man can explain it from a scientific approach, but it yet remains a mystery. But we do know that in the spirit realm, as many as are led by God they are the sons of God, for Galatians says that they are both one in Christ Jesus. To some believers it is hard for them to receive and understand that spiritually, there is neither man nor woman, but all are sons or servants.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION God wants His church to be filled with power. Jude 3:4 tells believers to contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. In a day when some things were hard to explain and to accept, because of the customs and traditions of that day, God revealed His will to His people and those who would accept what He offered.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION The Word of the Lord, which is our final word on all things, has given us many examples of men and women working together to allow God s power to be creative, informative, impactful as well as powerful. Jesus said to church leaders that they err because they don t know the background nor the power of God. God has power over the way men perceive what He does and what He allows. Believers foolishly try to figure God and His will out, but He said to the church, my thoughts are not yours nor are my ways your ways.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION There is such a vast difference. As high as the heavens are from the earth, that is how far removed my thoughts and ways are from yours. So beloved believers of God, you was your time trying to figure out God, when you will not allow the Holy Ghost to speak or think through your spirit.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION God could have easily used thirteen men to be the judges of Israel, but He chose to use one woman (Judges 4). He was establishing some things in the minds of His people. God made humankind and He new that some things could only be acceptable to them with time. He chose a woman who had everything in place as a woman, so she could function where He placed her. She had a godly husband who covered her as a woman. He gave her the love and respect that she needed to wind the respect and confidence needed to be a Judge of God s people. She was the judge of the men and the women.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION The time came when she had to show her leadership to the man who the military leader for Israel. She even pointed out to him what criticism he would receive if he listened and obeyed the advice of a woman. But Barak was a man of wisdom, (he was named among the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11). He would not allow his pride nor his ego to get in the way of God s powerful move for Israel. Paul told the believers that the man is not without the woman and the woman is not without the man in the Lord, For as the woman is of the man, even so, is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. (1 Cor.11:11-12)

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION We must love God more thank the pride of life, the lust of the eye and the lust of the flesh (1 John 2:16). We must love Him more than anything so that His will may be done. David had gotten old and his time of departure from the earth was fast approaching. His son Adonijah was trying to proclaim himself king, but Nathan spoke unto Bathsheba and told her what was happening. He gave her council and told her to go into the King s chamber and the King asked her what did she want.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER DISCUSSION She reminded the King that he had promised that Solomon would be King after him, not his son Adonijah. She told David what his son Adonijah had done. The king got together with the Prophet Nathan, his wife Bathsheba, and sent for Zadok the priest, and all those who were necessary and gave them instructions. Nathan and the priest Zadok went down to Gihon as David had instructed and anointed Solomon the king of Israel. It was God using the power of the wife Bathsheba, the prophet Nathan, and the priest Zadok that got the job done.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER CONCLUSION God could have done whatever He wanted to do without using a woman with the men, but He was preparing the nation of Israel and His spiritual Israel for something new and different. He told Jeremiah to tell His church, that He was going to do a new thing in the earth. Get ready, for God ahs created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. (Jeremiah 31:22)

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER CONCLUSION Jesus said, I am he that liveth, and was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore. Amen; and have the keys of hell and death. Though evil men killed Jesus, death and the grave could not hold Him, because Jesus has power over death and the grave. There is no power on earth that can hold Jesus down. Death could not claim Him until He allowed it. Jesus gave up to death.

Lesson 6 July 9, 2024 THERE S POWER WHEN MEN AND WOMEN WORK TOGETHER ESSENTIAL THOUGHT The power of men and women working together can defeat any enemy.
