  1. The book I am reading is called The Newspaper Dog . It is written by Enid Blyton. HERE IT COMES ..

  2. Once upon a time, there was a little Dog called Tips. He belonged to Mrs. Jones who lived in Primrose Cottage at the end of Cherry Village . Tips was a useful little dog. Tips always barked at any stranger who that turned up. Once a week he fetched the newspaper for her from old Mr. Jonathan.

  3. Jonathan lived in a little house on a hillside. When Mr. Jonathan read the newspaper he used to send it to Mrs. Jones. Tips always went for the newspaper and Mr. Jonathan always had the newspaper ready for him . Tips used to run back home.

  4. One day Mr. Jonathan wanted to do some spring cleaning , but Mrs. Jones was worried because he was an old man and he might fall. Mr. Jonathan promised Mrs.Jones that he would be careful.

  5. While Mr. Jonathan was on the ladder, the postman arrived. The sound he made gave Mr. Jonathan a start to the extent that he fell off the ladder.

  6. He had to stay on the floor because he was alone . Then he heard the sound of paws and someone running up the front path. It was Tips coming for the evening paper.

  7. Tips ran to Mr. Jonathan and licked at his hand.Then he sat down with his head on one side and said Woof!! That was his way of saying: What s the matter? Can I help you? Mr. Jonathan said, I hope you will help me dear Tips. Perhaps Tips could help him. Tips saw the newspaper ready with the string and he soon set off ,but Mr . Jonathan called him back. Mr. Jonathan wrote a small message to Mrs. Jones and she sent the Doctor at once.

  8. Soon Mr.Jonathan felt better. On Sunday he met Mrs. Jones and she told him, I am sure you need me to do some shopping for you . Mr.Jonathan said no thanks. Instead he bought a brand new collar for Tips to thank him.
