THE ITALIAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ABROAD: MAIN CHARACTERISTICS Free associations of Italian and local entrepreneurs and professionals: 70% of their 25.000 members comes from countries where the Chambers are rooted; Their opportunities for the Italian SME s, as established by the Italian Government according to the Law no. 518 of July 1 , 1970; mission is to promote trade and business Reference point for the support of economic and business relations between Italy and foreign countries; Part of the Network of Italian Chambers of Commerce according to the Law no. 580 of 29 December 1993 as modified by Legislative Decree no. 23 of February 15 2010. 1
